The Marine Spatial Planning Research Network seeks not only to bring together disciplinary and interdisciplinary interests from across the social and natural sciences but also to develop and promote integrative tools for Marine Spatial Planning. Web based geographical information systems (WebGIS) can be such a tool. By making spatial data and plans of different sectors accessible, possibly covering multilateral areas, they support scientists, decision makers and stakeholders in identifying conflicts or potentials and in developing adequate solutions.

Participants of the network are involved in the development and operation of various MSP relevant WebGIS. The map below gives an overview about these tools. If you have questions about these or want to link your WebGIS here, please contact Holger Janßen.
