Research activities

My PhD is investigating the siting of offshore renewable energy and how existing users of the marine space are taken into account during this process, such as inshore fisheries. At the strategic level I'm interested in how spatial multi-criteria decision analysis techniques can be used to represent local spatial patterns at a national level and at individual project level I'm analysing how fisheries data is used to take into account fisheries activities during the siting and impact assessment of offshore energy developments.

Projects

The Bryden Centre is an Interreg programme funding research on renewable energy (https://www.brydencentre.com/)
