Elena Gissi,PhD, Assistant Professor at the Università Iuav di Venezia. Main research interests are in the integration ecology and ecological knowledge in planning. Her reasearch considers management and planning from an ecosystem-based perspective. Her interests cover the following topics: I) ecosystem services and territorial planning, methods and tools to integrate ES assessment in decision making; II) ecosystem based approach in maritime spatial planning.
