Andrej Abramic currently holds position at the ECOAQUA institute @ University Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, working on number of projects as PLASMAR (project coordinator), ECOAQUA (post doc studies), MarSP (work package leader). He has a broad experience working in different research fields, including topics as coastal and marine waters monitoring, coastal environmental issues and pollution, impact assessment, (spatial) data management, applied statistics, spatial data standardization/harmonization, information systems, marine/maritime spatial planning, common European policies related to the marine environment and data information sharing. Broad experience in organization of international events as conferences (MapSIS 2017), workshops, summer schools as development of the specialized courses for professionals in marine filed and data management.
